Road Construction

Esor Civils has been responsible for the construction of various, major roads throughout South Africa for both the Government and Private sectors. One of the first road building contracts completed by Patula in 1997, was in the North West Province, for the Mareetsane Local District Municipality, at the Kalgold Mine.  Approximately 3.5 km of road and associate works.

Thereafter, followed more work for the mines, this time in Limpopo province, for the Swartwater Diamond Mine.  7 kms of access road had to be constructed.  In 1998 a heavy duty haul road was constructed for the Douglas Collieries in Witbank.

Dr. James Moroka Drive, a main road in Mafikeng, was constructed in 1998, followed closely by Sekame Road.  In 2001 an upgrading (extended dual carriage ways) was allotted to Patula, thereby proving the professionalism and workmanship of Patula in the North West Province.

Esorfranki Civils was responsible for the rehabilitation of Road P66-1, Blue Hills, for the Gauteng Department of Roads in 2002.   This in turn lead to the award of contracts for the rehabilitation of Hans Strijdom Road in Pretoria, as well as the rehabilitation of the P91/2, to Bapsfontein during 2004.

Our esteem had not diminished with the North West Province, and we continued, with success, in acquiring contracts there. The Thlabologang road upgrading being one in particular.

During 2006 Esorfranki Civils was invited to tender and was awarded a private project, by the developers Centurus, for their Southdowns project in Irene, Pretoria.

Esorfranki Civils has also successfully completed road contracts in the Limpopo Province, as well as the K71 in Zwartkops, Pretoria.  Sanral also awarded a portion of the R21 freeway, Package J, in the GFI Project to Esorfranki Civils. They were also   involved in a joint venture, with WBHO as the main partner, on the N1 Western Bypass.

Currently, Esorfranki (now Esor) is the main contractor for the Bakwena Platinum Corridor Concessionaire’s N4 Highway, between Brits and Sun City, Undertaking a second contract for the expansion of this highway.
